Gregor Sailer (*1980 in Österreich), bekannt für seine komplexen Langzeitprojekte, hat sich in den letzten vier Jahren intensiv mit der Arktis beschäftig. Bei Temperaturen bis zu -55 °C hat er in Kanada, Norwegen, Grönland und Island analoge Fotografien gemacht. In seiner neuen Werkserie The Polar Silk Road befasst sich Sailer mit den klimatischen Veränderungen der arktischen Regionen und ihrer wirtschaftlichen Nutzung sowie den territorialen Ansprüchen der Anrainerstaaten.

Gregor Sailer (*1980 in Austria), known for his complex long-term projects, has spent the last four years working intensively on the Arctic. At temperatures as low as -55°C, he has taken analog photographs in Canada, Norway, Greenland and Iceland. In his new series of works The Polar Silk Road, Sailer deals with the climatic changes of the Arctic regions and their economic use as well as the territorial claims of the riparian states.
