Zeppelin Museum Friedrichshafen | Into the deep. Minen der Zukunft

26. Mai - 05. November 2023

Die interdisziplinäre Ausstellung Into the deep.

Zeppelin Museum Friedrichshafen | Into the deep. Mines of the Future

May 26 - November 5, 2023

With the interdisciplinary exhibition Into the deep. Mines of the Future, the Zeppelin Museum aims to develop a fully climate-neutral exhibition. Funded with the Fonds Zero program of the German Federal Cultural Foundation (Kulturstiftung des Bundes), it is not only produced, presented and communicated in a circular economy, but it also showcases the question of finite resources and their extraction practices in terms of content. Based on the location of the museum and the industrial history of the city of Friedrichshafen, the exhibition takes a critical look at the raw material of aluminum, the metal of aviation, and at the multiple layers of raw material extraction in Deep Sea and Deep Space Mining as well as their activist counter-positions.
