Exit Paradise - Die Miettinen Collection in Sacrow - 12.07. - 28.09.2025
Anlässlich des 650-jährigen Jubiläums von Sacrow präsentiert Ars Sacrow e.V. Werke aus der renommierten Miettinen Collection. Unter dem Titel „Exit Paradise“ versammelt die Ausstellung rund 130 Werke von mehr als 50 Künstlerinnen und Künstlern aus vier Kontinenten. Inspiriert vom biblischen Motiv der Vertreibung aus dem Paradies thematisiert die Schau das Spannungsfeld zwischen Körperlichkeit und Entfremdung, Erotik und Revolte, Natürlichkeit und Manipulation. Während klassische Darstellungen von Körperlichkeit zumeist auf religiöse oder weltliche Ideale rekurrieren, zeigen die ausgewählten Werke der Miettinen Collection fragmentierte, poppige und queere Körperbilder, die auf veränderte Rollenbilder und Körperkonzepte, Gruppenzugehörigkeiten und Geschlechterzuschreibungen verweisen.

To mark the 650th anniversary of Sacrow, Ars Sacrow e.V. is presenting works from the renowned Miettinen Collection. Under the title Exit Paradise, the exhibition brings together around 130 works by more than 50 artists from four continents. Inspired by the biblical motif of the expulsion from paradise, the show explores the tension between physicality and alienation, eroticism and revolt, nature and manipulation. While classical depictions of the human body often reference religious or secular ideals, the selected works from the Miettinen Collection feature fragmented, pop-infused, and queer representations of the body. These challenge conventional roles and concepts of the body, and reflect shifting ideas around identity, belonging, and gender.
