Mit der Ausstellung Twisted Landscape richtet der Biologe und Fotograf Oliver Ullrich den Blick auf das norddeutsche Watt, einen Landschaftsraum ständiger Veränderung. Die Ausstellung knüpft an Alfred Ehrhardts fotografische Auseinandersetzung mit dem Wattenmeer an und entwickelt sie aus einer zeitgenössischen Perspektive weiter. Gezeiten, Wind, Sedimenttransport, Sturmfluten und der Klimawandel formen hier eine Landschaft, in der Entstehung, Entwicklung und Vergänglichkeit untrennbar miteinander verbunden sind.

In his exhibition Twisted Landscape, biologist and photographer Oliver Ullrich turns his attention to the North German mudflats, a landscape in a state of constant flux. The exhibition builds on Alfred Ehrhardt’s photographic exploration of the Wadden Sea and develops it further from a contemporary perspective. Tides, wind, sediment transport, storm surges and climate change shape a landscape in which formation, development and transience are inextricably linked.
