Im Zentrum der Ausstellung steht die Rekonstruktion der von Franz Erhard Walther für 1965 geplanten, jedoch nie realisierten Einzelausstellung GELB YELLOW JAUNE. In acht Räumen der damaligen Galerie Junge Kunst Fulda sollten acht gelbe Arbeiten Walthers gezeigt werden: sechs Handlungsstücke, darunter Variationen der Elemente des 1. Werksatzes sowie zwei große raumbezogene Werke, welche Aspekte seiner späteren Raumarbeiten der siebziger Jahre vorwegnehmen. Während die farbliche Einheitlichkeit der Arbeiten als Hommage an Yves Klein einen klaren Bezug zu derzeitgenössischen Kunst jener Zeit erkennen lässt, liegt die Radikalität des Projekts in den Handlungs- und Raumbezügen der Werke.

The exhibition focuses on the reconstruction of the solo exhibition GELB YELLOW JAUNE, which Franz Erhard Walther planned for 1965 but never realised. Eight yellow works by Walther were to be shown in eight rooms of the former Galerie Junge Kunst Fulda: six action pieces, including variations on the elements of the first set of works, and two large site-specific works that anticipate aspects of his later spatial works of the 1970s. While the colour uniformity of the works, as a homage to Yves Klein, reveals a clear reference to the contemporary art of that time, the radical nature of the project lies in the action and spatial references of the works.
