SEWING heißt nüchtern, fast lakonisch die Ausstellung der Bildhauerin und Konzeptkünstlerin Hannah Hallermann (geb. 1982) in der Miettinen Collection. In ihrer raumfüllenden Installation vereint sie Skulptur, Bogenschießen, Textilarbeiten und Video zu einer vielschichtigen, ambivalenten Arbeit. Diese verändert sich mit jedem Perspektivwechsel – von einem reduzierten, magischen oder meditativen Raum, den man wie eine intime Bühne betreten kann, über eine Art dreidimensionale Zeichnung, in der Elemente von Dada und Konstruktivismus nachhallen, bis hin zu einzelnen Skulpturen, die auf Post-Minimal, Fluxus und feministische Avantgarde reagieren könnten.

SEWING is the sober, almost laconic title of the exhibition by sculptor and conceptual artist Hannah Hallermann (b. 1982) at the Miettinen Collection. In her room-filling installation, she combines sculpture, archery, textile works and video to create a multi-layered, ambivalent piece. The work shifts with every change of perspective – from a minimalist, magical or meditative space that one can enter as if it were an intimate stage, to a kind of three-dimensional drawing in which elements of Dada and Constructivism resonate, to individual sculptures that might respond to Post-Minimalism, Fluxus and the feminist avant-garde.
