Im Rahmen der Ausstellung «In Touch» trifft Sean Scully, einer der bedeutendsten Künstler unserer Zeit,erstmals auf Paul Klee als eine zentrale Figur der Moderne. 13 ausgewählteGemälde aus den Jahren 1919 bis 2012 lassen eine künstlerische Verwandtschaft über ein Jahrhundert hinweg erleben. Sean Scully hat die Einladung von Karin Schick, Direktorin der Hilti Art Foundation, der Kunst Paul Klees in Liechtenstein zu begegnen, begeistert angenommen. Zum einen befindet sich in der Hilti Art Foundation mit 22 Objekten der weltweit umfangreichste und bedeutendste Bestand an Werken Scullys. Zum anderen zählt Paul Klee von jeher zu Scullys künstlerischen «Helden». Als ein Höhepunkt in der Ausstellung ist denn auch Klees Gemälde «Clown mit Kind» aus Scullys eigener Kunstsammlung zu sehen.

As part ofthe exhibition «In Touch», Sean Scully, one of the most renowned artists of our time, will come to a first encounter with Paul Klee, a central figure of modernism. Thirteen selected paintings spanning from1919 to 2012 will allow visitors to experience an artistic kinship that extendsover a century. Sean Scully responded enthusiastically to the invitation from Karin Schick, Director of the Hilti Art Foundation, to encounter Paul Klee’s art in Liechtenstein. First of all, with twenty-two objects, the Hilti ArtFoundation holds the world’s most extensive and significant collection of Scully’s works. Secondly, Paul Klee has always been one of Scully’s artistic«heroes». Among the highlights of the exhibition is Klee’s painting «Clown with Child» from Scully’s own art collection.
